1 stick (1/2 cup) butter
1/4 cup sugar
1 1/4 cup flour
Cream butter and sugar together. Add flour and mix till all mixed in. It will be super crumbly, but will stick together as you pack it together and roll it. Chill the dough for about 30 minutes in the refrigerator.
Preheat oven to 300°. Roll out to about 1/4-inch thickness, then cut with a cookie cutter. Poke a few holes through each cookie.
Bake on ungreased cookie sheet at 300° for about 25 minutes. Cool for 5 minutes or so on the baking sheet, then transfer to a wire cooling rack.
